Jeffery Guo is originally from the greater Minneapolis, MN area. Jeffery attained his B.S in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with highest honors (Graduation with Highest Distinction) in May 2024.
Prior to achieving his B.S, Jeffery interned at Abbott Laboratories (Summer 2022) under an electrophysiology medical devices R&D role. Jeffery was a University of Southern California Viterbi SURE Fellow (Summer 2023) and engaged in undergraduate research pertaining to implantable neural probes with Dr. Ellis Meng.
Currently, Jeffery is a Mechanical Engineering Ph.D student at Purdue University with Dr. Jong Hyun Choi. Immersed in the field of DNA nanotechnology, Jeffery studies the application of DNA as an engineering material to integrate them with synthetic lipid vesicle systems to engineer novel nano-machines.
In his free time, Jeffery enjoys producing compelling guitar-infused electronic music, playing guitar and piano, playing and watching football (soccer), and weightlifting.
